SEND Summer of Fun in the Sun –for children and young people aged between 8 and 16 at Sedbergh Community Centre. Four-hour sessions will run four days a week between 10am and 2pm.

Our inclusive multi-activity format will be driven by the interests and needs of the young people that are booked onto our programme. These will facilitate a range of activities such as:

  • Inclusive multi-sports
  • Arts and crafts
  • Sedbergh Olympic Games
  • Gaming
  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Sensory activities
  • Parachute games
  • Bouncy castle
  • Plus much more…

Parents and carers will be able to be able to reserve places with our bookings teams who will work with them to complete pen pictures of their children so we can assess levels of need and specific interests. This will enable us to carry out robust risk assessments to inform care requirements and staff ratios, that can range from 1 to 1 to 1 to 3.

Beckfoot Phoenix Stay and Play

Relaxed Sensory Play Sessions – We offer a wide range of sensory activities that are aimed to be fun; swimming, baking, music, rebound, soft play, bouncy castle, and visits from animals.

We have a highly trained bank of staff to support with several medical issues and all staff are fully trained in manual handling and team teach.

We also have several staff who can support children who need gastronomy or nasal feeds. We are in a purposed built special needs school in the Keighley area and will hold our sensory days on Tuesdays from 10.00am to 2.00pm.

Bradford PHAB Club

22nd July – 1st September 2024

During the summer, we will be running two projects – sports camps and a second community Festival where PHAB plans to tackle the current cost of living crisis by delivering a free to attend family festival in our community. The festival will include lots of free activities such as inflatables, rides, food and drink and live entertainment which includes a special PHAB’s Got Talent competition with members showing off their skills and talents and having fun, making new friends, and learning to play new instruments.

The sports camps will include but not limited to Football, Cricket, Rounders, Archery, Tennis, Athletics, Wellbeing workshops, Arts & Crafts and Nutritional advice and signposting. The activities will be based at East Bierley CC in BD4.

The sessions will run over 4 days at the cricket club between 11am and 3pm with lead up sessions on a club night between 7pm and 8.30pm. The festival will be held on Mon 26th August 12pm till 6pm also at the Cricket club.

Bee Well Connected

Bee Us – Sessions will run every 2 weeks between 01/06/2024 until 31/ 03/2025. There will be a total of 20, 3-hour sessions delivered out of school time. Depending on the chosen activity this will run on weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays or during School Holidays. Working with young people with SEND aged 0 – 18 years.

Our project will be delivered with 3 staff, 2 volunteers and additional parental volunteers on trips.

Parents will contribute £3 per child per session to fund the cost of transport and will provide snacks / drinks.

BIDS

Summer Fun 2024 with BIDS offer a range of activities throughout the summer for children and young people with SEND. The activities and sessions are decided by a young person consultation, which also includes the use of the Hydro Pool, Rebound Room, and off-site activities, i.e. bowling.

All young people will be supported by parent/carers, and siblings are able to join

Moor Time

29th July 2024 – 3rd January 2025

30 sessions of external activity providers for our holiday clubs that run Monday to Friday in the Summer and at Christmas 2024, and our fortnightly term time Saturday club in Autumn term 2024.

The clubs run from 10am-3pm, 3.30pm or 4pm, and are exclusively for young people age 5 (in Year 1) to age 17, with additional needs. Examples of external activity providers we bring in are:

  • Live music performers
  • Animal therapy experiences
  • Circus skills workshops
  • Dance workshops
  • Yoga classes
  • Massage and relaxation therapy
  • Accessible sports tuition

Our holiday clubs run from a safe and accessible venue, Ben Rhydding Scout Hut, which has enclosed outside space, a sensory room, kitchen, and disabled facilities, and lots of indoor play space.

Our Saturday club runs from Beechcliffe Special School in Keighley.

Bradford City DFC

Bradford City Disability Football Club – delivering football training which is adapted and suitable for our client groups.

The location is John Craig Centre Bradford Academy

Lister Avenue Bradford BD4 7QJ

Every Monday night 5pm to 7pm

We will be providing quality football coaching for anyone interested in playing football, regardless of ability. Our training is adapted for all disabilities and is about engagement and participation.

We will have a qualified coach leading the sessions and a volunteers and staff to support.

Ages vary from 6 years to 18 years old. Those attending have disabilities ranging from SEND needs, autism, ADH, and wheelchair users.
