Question as to PD Stamping on Ring... (I am a newbie).

Joined: Wed Feb 15, 2012 5:01 pm Posts: 17 | Hello, I own a ring that is a mixture (not plated) of silver and palladium per the manufacturer. It is marked simply 925. Silver and gold are not attracted to a magnet and, in fact, the precious metal buyer I utilize uses the magnet test to do quick checks on small pieces of unmarked metals. Otherwise, he does have test products to test metals and any jeweler or metal buyer can check for you (usually for free). Since your ring is attracted to a magnet, perhaps it is base metal with a palladium plating. Good Luck! Peach | ||
